You Know You're A Racist When......

So, minus three Republicans In Name Only (RINOS), Specter, Snowe and Collins, not a single Republican in either House voted for Barack Obama's pork-barrel Stimulus package; and only a handful of Dems in the House cast a 'Nay" vote against it.

Once the bill is passed, a few Republican Governor's have remained true to their conservative principles and announced they might not take their share of the stimulus dollars earmarked for their state. Mark Stanford of South Carolina, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Texas Governor Rick Perry expressed reservations about biting into the cheese from Washington because of the strings that might be attached. Good for them. But wait. Now comes the kicker.

The always intelligent sounding an effervescent South Carolina Congressman Jim Clyburn, a democrat, says that by not accepting those funds or criticizing the Stimulus funding, you are a racist. A what? A racist! Oh give me a break Clyburn. Are you that stupid? Are you so eaten up with hate and divisiveness that EVERYTHING is race-based?

This Obama Administration takes the cake. They've been in power one month with the first elected black man as President, yet his own Attorney General says that when it comes to race, America is a country of cowards. Why is it only black people bring this racist garbage up? Is it for the same reason only a black can say the word nigger?

To refuse the money is racist, but to approve it's passage is patriotic. I'm confused.

Let's Hear It For CNBC's Rick Santelli

We've all heard about how many American's opposed the massive Stimulus bill signed earlier this week; not much yet on the $75 billion housing bailout, except on CNBC today.

If you don't watch CNBC, and sometimes it can be like watching paint dry, but market guru, Rick Santelli who covers the Chicago Mercantile gave President Obama an ear full.

Santelli became overly fired-up on the floor of the Mercantile. Questioning why most people should continue to make their mortgage payments now that Uncle Sam could bail them out. Traders began to chirp in and wow...what a show. Santelli seemed to be venting what most of us feel and that is for the federal government to stay the hell out of the way and let the markets work things out.

At one point in the exchange, Santelli invited viewers to attend the next Tea Party in Chicago as they throw into Lake Michigan bad investment instruments. Then he closed out by drawing a comparison to Obama's plan in the US by saying that Havana used to have some beautiful mansions, but once Cuba abandoned individualism, everyone now drives 52 Chevy's.

It's The End of the World As We Know It

OK. President Obama has signed into law a $780 Trillion dollar "stimulus" package which will give most American families an extra $8 a week in their pocket now, but rob them later and for many generations to come of future income in the form of higher taxes.

On the day Obama pens the mostly unread bill in Colorado, the Dow Jones plunges almost 300 points to close at a 10 year low. The slats also fall out from under the Nasdaq and the S&P 500. Clearly, Wall Street isn't impressed with the deal.

Donald Trump has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy for his Casino's in Atlantic City; seems gambling revenues are down due to the recession.

GM and Chrysler are broke. Again. Now Congress and Obama will be asked for more bailout dough to keep them afloat.

California is on the brink of financial collapse. Arnold is forced to terminate 10,000 state workers, 275 state-funded public works projects because the California legislature can't work out a new budget. California taxpayers are being sent IOU's instead of tax refund checks; don't have the cash.

Kansas is also telling taxpayers to lump it. The state doesn't have the cash to fork out to people who paid Topeka, but Topeka's welshing and the people are suppose to understand and to like it. Try seeing that process work out the other way. Kansas taxpayers should go to court and attempt to garnish the wages of the Governor and legislators or maybe slap a tax lien on the Capitol in Topeka. Oh, almost forgot, Kansas state employees may not get paid this week either.

Oregon, in an attempt to cut-off revenue problems at the pass are going to hit Oregonians were it hurts. In the six pack. Some liberal legislative jag-offs are proposing an 1800% increase on the tax on beer. Come on, times are tough and these poor people in Oregon won't be able to afford a six pack of Olympia to help dull the pain of being broke.

The bottom line? States, local governments and especially the federal government need to budget for "worst case scenarios" not for the good times. Governments, for the most part, spend the tax revenues as if they were kids; never contemplating what would happen if the crap hit the fan, like it has done. Then when it does they never want to cut anything so they dream up creative ways to rob people of more of their money through stupid tax increases on beer, sodas containing sugar, cigarettes, cigars, pay toilets and on and on.

With all that's going to hell in a hand basket, I'm reminded of that joke about the guy that comes up to Mary Lincoln after the assassination of the president. He asks her, "Aside from that, Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

Uncle Sam's A Drunken Sailor

Whomever is responsible for getting Uncle Sam drunk as a skunk, and there's plenty of blame to go around over the years, the old man is about to die from excessive spending poisoning.

You may not realize it, but the debt of the United States now exceeds the entire Gross Domestic Product of the entire globe! That's right, the USA now owes more than the value of all goods and services rendered on the planet. According to the World Net Daily, the total deficit, without the recently passed $800 billion "stimulus" package now stands at $65.5 Trillion dollars. Total US obligations, including Social Security and Medicare benefits to be paid in the future, the United States of America is officially bankrupt.

America needs to read her Constitution and its amendments to see what powers the founding fathers gave our government. It does not give the federal government the right to fund or control our schools; by eliminating the Department of Education taxpayers could lower the deficit by $59.2 billion dollars and return the control of education back to the states where it belongs.

We cannot afford anymore spending, but it won't be long before the Treasury Secretary goes before Congress asking for $3 to $4 trillion more dollars for funding the TARP kitty that already ate $750 billion last fall.

And if to add insult to injury, wait until Social Security and Medicare finds themselves insolvent. If we don't wake up and stop putting tax-and-spenders in control of our government, the future is not so whoopy.

Read your Constitution's preamble. There's a paragraph that Nicholas Cage read to Riley in "National Treasure" that says it all. The language wasn't added by Hollywood, but rather by the founding fathers. It says......

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Think about it.
